Training
Moulding the great riders of the future.
Training
Training- James’s training career started from an early age, and has run hand in hand with his competition career ever since. As a Young Rider under the British Equestrian Federation’s ‘Buddy’ scheme, he was already training future competitors.
Throughout his progression, James has been a student himself of such greats as Ludger Beerbaum, Beat Maendli, David Broome, Tim Stockdale, Michael Bullman and Manfred Cöter.
Having proven his ability to win competitions up to Championship level, and his success in producing sport horses, James is now highly sort after to train others to do the same.
Star student Andreas Vardinogiannis (pictured) successfully qualified for, and competed at the 2018 Young Rider European Championships under James’s guidance. James also trains Melissa Vardinogiannis, his employer, alongside competing their string of International horses, aided by their idyllic state-of-the-art facility just outside Athens, Greece.
James has taken a host of horses from assorted owners to the top level, either from a young age, or relative obscurity. Always taking care to set the correct rate of progression for the partnership with each given horse.
Either for competition purposes, or production for sale, there is no greater reward than successfully educating a talented horse to winning at the heights of International competition.

Breeding
Matching the best of the best to make a champion.
Breeding
Although still in its early stages, James’s attention has also turned to breeding champion horses of the future. A small but nonetheless exciting venture, beginning with a foundation of well bred performance mares, all of whom James has personally competed. Coupled with semen from only the very best stallions, to compliment the characteristics of each mare, built on James’s depth of knowledge.
James has already begun on this journey, choosing the Holstein bred star “Catoki Z” (Cambridge X Silvester) to partner his World Cup winner, and Nations Cup darling “Sissi” (Calvados X Deva xx).
Waiting in the wings at the completion of their jumping careers are “Quirosa”(Quintero X Lordanos) and “Chaclanda”(Chacco Blue X Landgold), the latter owned jointly with Fábiáncsics Gábór of the Hungarian National Show Jumping Centre)
